Um die Erkundung und Neugierde rund um die Themen Urban Sketching, Zeichnen und Drucken anzuregen, bietet Isabelle Mattern eine Reihe von kreativen Workshops an, die über einen ganzen Tag verteilt stattfinden.

Mithilfe von Altmaterial aus dem Centre Formida (pädagogisches Zentrum in Esch-sur-Alzette) und anderen vorbereiteten Materialien können die Teilnehmer Illustrationen, Muster und Stempel herstellen und gestalten und ihre eigenen Recherchebücher zusammenstellen.

Tagesprogramm

Vormittag (10.00 - 13.00 Uhr)

• Erkundung eines Ortes in Bertrange, mit Beobachtung des Ortes und Auswahl der Motive.
• Praktische Übungen:
  • Zeichen- und Sketching-Techniken (Perspektive, Komposition, Kontraste).
  • Erkundung verschiedener Werkzeuge und Materialien (Bleistifte, Kohle, Tinte, Pastellkreiden, Filzstifte usw.), angepasst an die Vorlieben der Teilnehmer.
• Anfertigung von Skizzen von unterschiedlicher Dauer aus verschiedenen Motiven.

Nachmittags (14.00 - 17.00 Uhr)

• Vertiefte Arbeit an einem ausgewählten Motiv :
  • Detaillierte Ausarbeitung mit Erforschung von Kontrasten und Texturen.
  • Möglichkeit, die Zeichnung in Druck oder Schablone umzusetzen.
• Kreatives Gestalten mit wiederverwerteten Materialien :
  • Herstellung von Stempeln und personalisierten Illustrationen.
  • Zusammenstellen von Recherchebüchern, um die während des Workshops gemachten Beobachtungen festzuhalten.

Dieser Workshop findet am 3. Mai in der Maison Schauwenburg in Bertrange statt und richtet sich an Jugendliche im Alter von 11 bis 27 Jahren. Die Gemeinde wird in der Mittagspause eine Mahlzeit anbieten.

Isabelle Mattern ist freischaffende Designerin/Künstlerin. Nach ihrem Studium in Paris an der ECV und in London am Central Saint Martins und am Royal College of Arts arbeitet sie in ihrem Studio im 1535° Creative Hub in Differdange.

Ihre Arbeit besteht aus Design von Kommunikationsmedien, Grafikdesign, Büchern, Illustrationen, Zeichnungen, Typografie und Forschung sowie Kulturvermittlung und kreativen Workshops.

To stimulate exploration and curiosity around the themes of urban sketching, drawing and printing, Isabelle Mattern is offering a series of full-day creative workshops.

Using recycled materials from the Centre Formida (an educational centre in Esch-sur-Alzette), as well as other prepared materials, participants will be able to make and create illustrations, motifs and stamps, and assemble their own research notebooks.

The day's programme

Morning (10.00 - 13.00)

• Exploration of a site in Bertrange, with observation of the surroundings and choice of motifs.
• Practical exercises:
  • Drawing and sketching techniques (perspective, composition, contrasts).
  • Exploration of different tools and materials (pencils, charcoal, ink, pastels, felt-tip pens, etc.), adapted according to participants' preferences.
• Sketches of varying lengths based on different motifs.

Afternoon (14:00 - 17:00)

• In-depth work on a selected motif:
  • Exploring contrasts and textures in detail.
  • Possibility of translating the design into a print or stencil.
• Creation using recycled materials:
  • Creation of stamps and personalised illustrations.
  • Assembling research notebooks to record observations made during the workshop.

This workshop will take place on 3 May at the Maison Schauwenburg in Bertrange and is aimed at young people aged 11 to 27. The municipality will provide a meal during the lunch break.

Isabelle Mattern is a freelance designer and artist. After studying in Paris at the ECV and in London at Central Saint Martins and the Royal College of Arts, she now works in her studio at the 1535° Creative Hub in Differdange.

Her work involves the design of communications media, graphics, books, illustration, drawing, typography and research, as well as cultural mediation and creative workshops.
